One year has passed since we started the membership program at Second Nature Farm. We celebrated the farm’s anniversary and the second Autumn Equinox Festival, inviting many friends who agree with our concept that Nature is the No.1.
The new faces fitted into the atmosphere immediately and chatted about the food they had brought to the potluck with the regular members as if they had been long-time friends.
The healthy cooking class, a regular seasonal event, was again a big hit. A cookery expert, Chie, presented us with new recipes (the center and left pictures below), such as hashed brown and brownies using the farm’s specialty (the left picture above), ulu (commonly known as “breadfruit”).
Happy times passed quickly at this year’s Autumn Equinox Festival as people also enjoyed harvesting, e.g., picking ulu, digging for ginger roots, and sharing the fresh bounty on site.
