In April, two wild ducks started coming daily from somewhere to our agroforestry farm. When I first discovered them, I was so excited. I thought our farm-raised ducklings, killed by wild pigs or mongooses at night last year, had come back to life(!). My husband, Gary, says, “Wild animals just come here to seek nature,” but I couldn’t help thinking that our ducklings’ souls had sought out their home. So, every time they come, I stop weeding to follow their cute buttocks.
